Your real self is like a diamond hidden in the darkness that can never shine or be seen in the fullness of its beauty until a light from without shines on it. We were not meant to originate light, but to reflect it. We only discover who we are and who we were meant to be when we open our heart to the glory of God’s light. I start finding myself when He finds me. I start looking like I am supposed to look when I begin to reflect the light that comes from God.
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)
